Foster families are awsome, we are always looking for fosters to help prepare comanions with more one on one care to help ready them for a lasting adoptive family. For many its their first taste of a loving family or even inside a home to function as a family member. All medical care and some other supplies are provided by The Weiner Brigade Inc. Foster families provide the food, love and supportive services such has possibly potty training, leash walking, basic commands such as sit, give paw, down thru stress free positive reinforcement training. Fosters are a important element for a companion in need, Please consider being a foster family. Fosters may have companion from two weeks to six months.
Volunteering
Can be very rewarding. There are many areas in need from cleaning cages, kennels to bathing dogs and hanging or distributing fliers and helping with fund raisers. Consider collecting items that would support animal care such as doggy beds and blankets for kitties, toys, and other fun things to delight companions while in care.
Extra needs
These are always in short supply and assist rescues like ours grow when its just beginning and as it continues to be a life line for animals in need.
Gravel both 6 slag and LOTS of pea gravel, chain link fencing, posts, and gates ( we try to recycle and be as earth friendly as we can be, so we repair, modify and reuse much ) cement, patio stones and straw.
Desires we have:
We would love a few little outside plastic children's play houses, cement, metal, wood or plastic normal looking fire hydrants (for the male in the man dog..LOL) a wagon, lawn mower, wheel barrel with 2 front tires, lumber ( tongue n grove 2x6x10 treated and 2x4x10 non treated) hospital chucks, gas cards, galvanized 1/4' 4x50' rolled fabric wire, picnic table.
"Computer" a lap top would be heaven! The one I use is a dinosaur and about shot.
The most important:
Dedicated families who want to share their love and home with a companion who is waiting and deserves all that life has to offer. A family who can cherish unconditionally an abused, abandoned or neglected animal who's only fault was being born and truly unloved. To face all the ups and downs, joys and sorrows can bring in holding that one soul in the heart and care of the family. No ones life is perfect but for that one soul you can be the center of their world. Would you like to be that chance? Please contact us and lets celebrate a wondrous future for a shelter companion who would bask being your cherished companion. Together we can save and enrich the life of a animal in need and welcome you into the world of rescue.
